Kiss(band)

Kiss was a band formed on January 1973 in New York City. The genre if this type of music is rock and hard rock. In 2004 Kiss had been awarded 24 golden albums and had sold over 80 million copies world wide. The band members started off with The Demon (Gene Simmons), Starchild (Paul Stanley), Spaceman (Ace Frehley), and Catman (Peter Criss). The "Demon" makeup symbolized Simmons's dark elements, and love for comic books. Paul Stanley became the "Starchild" because he was referred to as the "starry-eyed lover" or "hopeless romantic." Ace Frehley's "Spaceman" makeup was of him supposedly being from another planet. Peter Criss's "Catman" makeup was believed that Criss had nine lives (like that of a cat) due to his rough childhood growing up in Brooklyn. Some creative differences caused, both Criss"Catman" and Frehley "Spaceman" to leave the band by 1982. Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer had replaced Criss and Frehley after their original line up reunion in 1996-1997.

On January 30, 1973 Kiss performed, for the first time for an audience of three in Queens at the Popcorn Club. On February 18 the band’s first album, Kiss was released . On February 19, the band performed the following songs "Nothin' to Lose," "Firehouse," and "Black Diamond", on ABC. "Hotter Than Hell" their second album was released on October 22, 1974. "Dressed to Kill" was their third album and was released on March 19,1975 and went better commercialy than "Hotter Than Hell". On September 10, 1975 they made their first live album called Alive!. That live album really turned them into a real time rock and roll band. Kiss released 25 albums.

I decided to embed this video because this is one of my favorite songs "Love Gun", and this is one of my favorite bands. I like this band because they are from my mom's home town Queens, New York and their songs have simple lyrics that are easily interpreted by people all over the world. Their songs are catchy and have amazing beats. I really like the rhythm and the lyrics. I really like how it begins it makes you crave for more of the song. I hope you like this song as much as I do.
